IN/LAB is here to prototype news futures for current news outsiders. We use the term 'news outsiders' to highlight various groups not consuming and/or trusting editorial news today. Our focus is on outsiders rather than “avoiders”, as we believe there are many groups whose information needs and desires the news media has not paid sufficient attention to in the past.

We are a small team – currently consisting of Agnes Stenbom (Head of Lab), Belenn Bekele (Community Researcher), Molly Grönlund Müller (Community Researcher) and Hermon Gebretensaye (Intern). Our work is based on research and experiments, where we try to uncover user needs and meet them by exploring emerging technology.
